“When I Met You Beneath the Powerlines, I Started to Cry” by Kreepshow (Audra Zofija)

artist’s statement
Audra Zofija (she/her), also known as the moniker Kreepshow, is a queer oil painter and poet based in Los Angeles. Kreepshow encapsulates themes of depersonalization, psychosexual development, WLW desires, religious trauma, and shame into painful words and visceral imagery. Within her work she explores these core structures as a cyclical dialogue with herself, both coming to terms with experiences and spiraling back down, swinging a pendulum of acceptance and fear.
